How to Adjust the Temperature on your ecobee
ecobee is motion-sensitive and will turn on when you walk by it. You can override the scheduled temperature by moving the bubble on the temperature slider up or down.
The blue number represents the cool set point; the orange number represents the heat set point. The new desired temperature will be the set point used for the Hold. The duration of the Hold is the last configured value. You can adjust the default Hold time in the Preferences menu.
To cancel the current Hold, touch the Hold message box displayed on the Home screen. You can touch the box anywhere and not just the X displayed on the box.

Every home consumes energy differently. That’s why ecobee created eco+, a suite of smart features that helps you save on energy by improving your home's energy efficiency, while enhancing your comfort. It supercharges your ecobee thermostat and delivers personalized energy recommendations by looking at things like local weather, home occupancy, and variable electricity rates to shift your home's energy usage accordingly. Here'a a quick snapshot of how eco+ works to save you energy and money.
Once you set up eco+, you will start receiving emails on a monthly basis detailing your energy consumption for the previous month. The emails include how long your system has run for during the last month, the amount of energy savings your ecobee smart thermostat has generated, and how your savings compare with your community.
Feels Like Feature
With Feels Like, eco+ uses both humidity and temperature readings to calculate your home's temperature. In so doing, Feels Like ensures that the temperature you see on the thermostat is the temperature you actually experience. This helps to keep you comfortable when it’s humid and lower your energy bill when it’s dry.
Time of Use Feature
If your electricity rate varies based on the time of day, Time of Use can save you money by intelligently precooling or preheating your home when electricity is less expensive to keep you comfortable, while cooling or heating less when electricity is more costly. By shifting energy usage to times of day when electricity is cheaper and cleaner, Time of Use is having a positive impact on communities and the environment.
Smart Home & Away
Smart Home & Away automatically adjusting the temperature for energy savings when it detects you're not home, and quickly restores your comfort settings when you come back. Now a part of eco+, Smart Home & Away detects when you’re away faster than before, making your home more efficient.
