This Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm is powered by a 10-year, sealed-in lithium battery. It offers easy installation, automatic activation, and hassle-free protection from dangerous carbon monoxide in your home.
This Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm uses a highly accurate electrochemical sensor to protect you and your loved ones. When elevated and dangerous levels of CO are detected, an alarm sounds and red lights flash.
Powered by a sealed-in, non-replaceable lithium battery that lasts for the life of the alarm (ten years), this carbon monoxide alarm is maintenance free. It also elminates worries about dead batteries, battery removal, and unauthorized deactivation of your CO alarm.
This model features a test and reset button that allows you to test the CO alarm circuit operation and immediately silence the alarm.
The Event Memory feature alerts you if a high level of carbon monoxide has been detected within the last 14 days. Just look for the red LED light flashing every 60 seconds.
The alarm uses LED light indicators and audible alerts to communicate.
Green (Proper Operation): A green light flashes every 30 seconds to indicate the unit is operating properly.
Red (Danger): When a dangerous level of carbon monoxide is detected the red LED will pulse and a loud alarm pattern will sound. The carbon monoxide alarm pattern is 4 short beeps, 5 seconds of silence, and 4 short beeps with a corresponding red LED flash. This cycle will continue for 4 minutes and then change to 2 patterns once a minute there after.
Amber (Fault): An amber light flashes every second to indicate the unit is in fault mode.
This Kidde CO Alarm is easy to install as it automatically activates when it is attached to the mounting bracket. No hardwire installation is required.
At the end of the alarm's life, the unit will chirp, indicating the alarm is in need of replacement. To deactivate, simply use a screw driver to remove the unit from the mounting bracket.
